Wednesday, 01 June 2011 ABC Interview with Andrew Lindner
On Friday 27th of May, ABC Canberra Local Radio featured an interview by Julia Holman with Andrew Lindner as an interest story in a collection about people in unusual jobs.
This interview sparked a great discussion on the morning show, with Alex Sloan fielding calls from many listeners wishing to share memories of loved-ones knitting socks at home, or sock-related quotes from treasured stories, and of course many who remembered knitting socks for the soldiers in war-time.
It is so nice to think that a humble item of clothing, such as the sock, can provide so much comfort and stir such emotion in many people's hearts. We know that we love socks, but it is great to know that so many others do too.
